Landsborough is situated in Caloundra Shire and is one of its oldest communities. These wonderful airial photographs show it nestled between green fields and pine plantations. It has a rustic charm all of its own and brings a sense of a bygone era into modern living. Where bullock wagons once brought in the tall timbers, Landsborough is now a thriving community at the southern end of the Sunshine Coast. Visit the local museum for the heritage and walk the platforms of the charming old world railway station with its trains running from Brisbane to Cairns. Enjoy a cuppa at one of the many charming cafes after wandering the heritage trail round the town. Check out what is happening at the Recreational Centre with its many sports. Landsborough is a wonderful place to base your holiday with easy access to all the warm, sandy beaches and local attractions. From here, take a day trip and explore the Blackall Ranges with the arts and crafts boutiques of Montville and Maleny. The views to the east are fantastic, with the Glass House Mountains and the Pacific Ocean gently rolling in to clean white sand. Spend a day at Australia Zoo or take a trip to Underwater World at Mooloolaba and come face to face with crocodiles and sharks. The kid in you may like to race the track at the Big Kart Track. Enjoy a sumptuous sundae at The Big Pineapple or try the different honeys at the Super Bee. You will never be short of anything to do from the small inland town of Landsborough.
