The reds of the sands contrast with the waters of the low tide at Elcho Island, Arafura Sea, NT. The beaches sit surrounded by deep-red cliffs, the sands oxidised, then water neon blue, an untouched beauty. Elcho Island has been inhabited by it's traditional owners since pre-historic times, also named Galiwinku.
