With thriving marine life, Shark Bay has twenty-eight unique shark species. With rusty-red sand dunes and pristine waters, Shark Bay is home to over 100 different species of marine animals, 240 species of birds, 80 coral, and 218 bivalve species. Each summer thousands of loggerhead turtles return to Turtle Bay, a beach in Shark Bay, the area they emerged as hatchlings, to lay their eggs.
