Also located within Caloundra Airport is the Queensland Air Museum with its collection of Australian and Queensland aviation heritage and vintage planes. These planes include a Canberra bomber, a Meteor WF647 and two Sea Venoms WZ910 and WZ898, a Vampire, a Douglas DC3 and a Nord Mohawk. Over 20 vintage aircraft are housed within the museum which captures a unique part of Australia’s history. The Caloundra Aerodrome is located in Caloundra West, just 1km from the main business area of Caloundra and includes helicopter training, gliders, skydiving, joy flights and aircraft maintenance facilities.
