Kings Beach, Sunshine Coast QLD 4551, Australia.
These marvellous aerial photographs show a shimmering sandy Kings Beach; a popular destination for all the family. With its great swells, the board rider will love it and the younger children can also swim safely. Swim between the flags patrolled by the life savers from the Kings Beach Surf Life Saving Club. Wickham’s Point protects Kings Beach from the northerly winds and Deepwater Point protects from it the southerly end. The azure waters offer a wonderful incentive to swim at any time of the year. There is even a public salt water pool and rocks to explore at the northern end of Kings Beach. A short walk to the south will bring you to Deepwater Point and from there you can see the Caloundra Bar with magnificent views to Bribie Island. Bribie offers beach camping, with permits, at the Bribie Island National Park. To visit by car, drive down the Bruce Highway to the southern end and cross the Bribie Island Bridge. Continue your stroll round the point and come into the still waters of Pumicestone Passage. Here you will find Bulcock Beach also patrolled by Surf Life Savers. At the ebb tide, the current may be strong so be cautious with small children. There is a multitude of water sports to be had here and the fisherman will be happy too. Good catches of whiting, bream and flathead are to be had here from the bank or in a boat. The Caloundra Golf Club will be happy for the golfers to play eighteen holes!
