Hollywell is located in the middle of the Gold Coast, on Queensland’s South East. Hollywell is a beautiful seaside suburb known for its passion of boats. The Hollywell Yacht Squadron and Yacht Club are located on Hollywell’s foreshore. Hollywell is in close proximity to the suburb of Runaway Bay and Runaway Bay Marina for larger boat mooring. Hollywell is mainly a locale of standalone homes although there are a number of holiday apartments available for short or long term rental. Aerial photos of Hollywell highlight the Nerang River, Pine Ridge Conservation Park, South Stradbroke Island, Paradise Point and the exclusive Islands of Ephraim Island and Sovereign Island. Located slightly inland from Hollywell, are the Pine Ridge Conservation Park, and Runaway Bay Hospital. The Pine Ridge Conservation Park is an open eucalypt forest. It is one of the last places that Wallum Banksia grows in the wild. The forest has such species as Bloodwood and Heath, as well as Paperbark swamp forest. The Pine Ridge Conservation Park is the perfect place to bird watch and bushwalk but don’t forget the insect repellant, a hat and a picnic. Camping is not permitted within the Pine Ridge Conservation Park.
